On the occasion of Easter, Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, invites the faithful to rejoice, invites the faithful to rejoice—even in these troubled times—because Christ has conquered death and evil.

“Today we celebrate Christ’s victory over death and evil. At Easter, love and mercy are revealed in all their power. The Resurrection is the assurance that evil and death do not have the final word. Love conquers! Forgiveness conquers! Life begins anew on Easter morning!”

The Bishop greets the faithful with the words of the Risen Christ, “Peace be with you all,” and with the prayer of Francis of Assisi: “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.”

“As a baptized people, we walk together, committed to promoting the good of all, alongside all people of goodwill, so that the Kingdom of God may come soon. May the peace of Christ dwell in your hearts, in your families, and in your communities!”

The Easter proclamation resounds once again:

“Christ is risen! He is truly risen! Alleluia!”
